Recently Danieli Breda performed the Final Acceptance Tests (FAC) on the new graphite extrusion technology supplied to Graftech Ibérica SL, Navarre, Spain, for the production of the graphite electrodes.
Danieli Bredas’ 35-MN Graphite Extrusion Press, equipped with a tilting container, allows vertical charging of the graphite paste, which notably enhances the press performance in terms dead-cycle time reduction and a consequent increase in productivity.
During the test the press was switched to fully automatic mode and met all contractual technical and performance figures.
35-MN system produces electrodes with enhanced cycle time
Centravis, the main supplier of extruded specialty steel pipe to the Ukrainian market, contracted Danieli Breda to revamp the runout system for its extrusion line, supplied by a competitor in 2007.
The largest extrusion press installed for Metra at Rodengo Saiano, Italy, will be revamped by Danieli Breda. Supplied by DB as a 55-MN short-stroke press, the line will be updated to operate with greater force at 75 MN, processing billets up to 2,100 mm long.
The largest and most modern of its kind in North America, this 90MN (10,120-ton) four-columns push-down hydraulic-driven Danieli Breda press is served by a 200-mt railbound manipulator, a 100-mt mobile manipulator and a 190-mt overhead crane.
The new 45MN front-loading press will be the largest in Spain and one of the most modern worldwide
