Iran plans to launch air taxi services, says the head of Iran Airports Company, Siavash Amir-Mokri.
According to the official, since many airports in Iran are operating below capacity due to shortage of aircraft, Minister of Roads and Urban Development Mohammad Eslami has ordered the use of air taxis for passenger transportation, Iranian news website Digiato reported.
An air taxi is a small commercial aircraft that makes short flights on demand.
Foreign direct investment (FDI) in Iran has risen 20 percent during the first seven months of the current Iranian calendar year (March 21-October 22) from the same period of time in the past year, Iranian Finance and Economic Affairs Minister Farhad Dejpasand announced on Monday.
